RUNNER-UP FINISH FOR MKJ IN 2024 OPENER AT BIG O SPEEDWAY

The 2024 season kicked off for El Dorado, Arkansas’ Michael King Jr. on Saturday with a visit to Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) to pilot his Advanced Performance Engines (APE) No. 14JR Late Model for the Freedom 100.

After topping the speed charts in time trials, King shot out to a commanding lead in the feature but got caught up in the lapped traffic on the final lap, relegating him to the second in the finishing order. He trailed Austin Theiss to the checkers with James Moon rounding out the podium.
